FAQ
What does pre-creased mean?
- Every fold line on the sheet is already scored. A scored line bends cleanly in one direction. You do not have to measure or align anything.
Do I need any tools?
- No. Your hands are enough. A flat table helps.
How long does one ornament take?
- Most take five to ten minutes. The card in the packet shows the steps.
Can I see the fold before I buy?
- Yes. The product page has a fold stage. Slide from flat to folded and turn it around. Each tessellation's own pattern loads there as it is scored; until then the stage shows a demo pattern and says so.
How do I buy before 1 November?
- Press Reserve on the tessellation you want. It takes you to the contact page with the number filled in; one email holds it for you, and we write back when checkout opens. $12 each; the set of three and the gift card are priced at opening.
What paper do you use?
- Kami: heavy two-sided origami paper, 15 cm square, a saturated colour on the face and unbleached kinari on the back, chosen to score without tearing. Each number in the series has its own colourway, named on its page.
Can I buy in bulk for holiday cards?
- Yes. Write to hello@origami.cool with the quantity and the date you need them.
Are the designs yours?
- The ornaments are traditional models or our own designs. We do not sell patterns owned by other designers.
