Every card is a pattern, a chord, or a key.

The Deck.
Fifty-two cards and two jokers. Four suits, four genres, each one a seed of the Julia set. Hearts are R&B, clubs are House, spades are Rock, diamonds are Pop.
The Court.
Kings hold a drum pattern, queens a chord progression, jacks a melody. Each face card is a sixteen-step grid you can tap straight into the OP-1.
The Theory.
Music is a p-adic winding on a Julia set.
The deck opens with four axioms: periodic identity, symmetrical partition, fractal distribution, projective scaling. The short version is on the cards; the long version is in the deck.
The Cards.
Chord cards, flow, bass line, beat box. Each set is a different way to fill sixteen steps.
